Family Fun- Our family couldn’t get enough of Bronson while we were in Utah and he was eating it up!! I loved watching Bronson get to know all of Nicks family! He is one loved little boy!!
This is Bronson with Uncle Kelly (Nicks Uncle).
Boy Meets Snow- It was so much fun to see Bronson in the snow for the very first time. We were in Utah several days before it actually snowed. He had fun running around in it but when we made him sit and play in it, he wasn’t very thrilled. Maybe one day he will be excited about our winter trips to Utah and actually look forward to the cold and snow!
All bundled up- Thanks to my sister for handing down this winter coat from cousin Drew. We had to scrounge up clothes to pack for this little guy for the holidays in Utah. We were able to find this cute hat and matching gloves for him at our Old Navy here. He managed pretty well in the cold weather considering he is freezing with anything below 55*! I loved seeing him all bundled up, it’s a sight we never get to see!

Christmas Morning- This Christmas was so much fun! Now that Bronson is older and able to understand the presents a little bit more he was so excited to see the Christmas lights and his buggy that Santa brought him for being a good boy this year!! After presents we made Christmas breakfast and enjoyed our gifts for the day. That night we had our traditional Pay Family get together. It was so great to see all of our family that we hadn’t seen in over a year!!
Nostalgia- We made sure that we hit ALL of our favorite restaurants when we went back to Utah to visit. Of course our favorite past time is Firehouse Pizzeria. It was one of the main places we would eat when Nick and I were dating and I was living in Logan. We were beyond excited to find out that they were opening one in Centerville shortly after we moved to Woods Cross. Nick’s dad treated us to our favorite meal the night after we arrived. Best treat you could ask for!!
Road Trip Day 2- We continued our drive from Vegas to Salt Lake on day 2. Making it the longest trip from point A to point B, e.v.e.r! A trip that would normally take Nick and I 5hrs ended up taking 8hrs or more and not even because of Bronson. The rain held us up quite a bit more than we anticipated. We were amazed by all of the waterfalls there were through the canyons. They were beautiful and it was a site we had not seen for a long time.
Road Trip Day 1- We drove part way to Utah by stopping in Vegas to bunk up with Nick’s brother Jason. It rained pretty much the entire time which can be scary but I was grateful to not have to drive in any snow!! Of course since I live in Arizona and Las Vegas is basically the same weather as here I wore flip flops for the first day of our trip. Big mistake because it was pouring down rain in Vegas and Jason lives on a farm with only dirt roads. Needless to say my feet were pretty nasty by the time I got the necessities out of the car for a one night stay!!
Piles and Piles- of ENDless packing! I love packing in advance and getting things organized so I don’t have to wait and stress at the last minute. Usually this works unless you are leaving on an almost 2 week vacation. There is tons of laundry that has to been done and almost everything in your wardrobe has to be cleaned and unworn in order to have enough things! Usually I don’t mind packing but this was our first LONG trip with a child and boy do you have to pack a ton of things with kids!! I almost didn’t think everything would fit in the car but we made it work!!
Waiting for Santa- We took Bronson to the mall with intentions to meet Santa for the first time but the wait time was about an hour and a half (and we had no stroller)! We also searched out the prices for pictures with Santa and they were WAY too expensive so Nick and I staked out the surrounding area for a good place that he could hide out and sneak his own pictures of Bronson and Santa because just a visit was FREE! Wrong, I know! Finally, after about 25 minutes of waiting and the line going no where, I decided I was done. At lunch earlier Chick-Fil-A had a sign that Santa was coming to make sugar cookies with the kids at 5:00, so we had some time to kill. We decided we would visit this Santa instead…. huge disappointment when Santa came out with a cow head, I should have known!! So, sad to say Bronson didn’t get to meet Santa this year but we will try again next year!!
Bakin’ a Treat- It is time for something yummy in my house so I made brownies with Cream Cheese icing… YUM! It’s not something I normally do together but I will definitely do that again!!
But I don’t like it Dad- My mom loves to find new toys for the kids to play with when they come to visit and this one did not go over well with Bronson. I put it over his shoulder to let him play with it and he started to scream! We are mean parents and forced him to play with it because it gave us a good laugh!! (only for a minute though)
